Weekly Photo Challenge: One Love

Picture of footprint in sand

It comes as second nature to many of us to be loving, and kind, and giving. And loyal. If and when those traits backfire, we don’t let our hearts wither. Rather, we learn the art of letting go. We sally forth. We continue to thrive. We continue to grow. Like a sandy footprint on a beach, love is continually recycled, reclaimed, and renewed. There is never one love or one footprint, but many similiar possibilities and forms that remind us for this week’s photo challenge that being one is more often than not a universal phenomenon.

And I’m not going to lie, this was a really difficult challenge to find the words for. I hope it’s halfway coherent. Happy weekend all!

    • Lena, this photo challenge really gave me pause on both ends. Finding a picture that halfway fit that was of a heart or the word love, and then trying to make the writing pit the picture. These posts are usually quick ones for me, but not this time 😉

    • Jacquie, thanks. I kept the text short as usual so I couldn’t fit in that the sandy footprint is from your neck of the woods in South Carolina. Pawley’s Island to be exact during a trip to Myrtle Beach for a weekend.

  1. I truly like the metaphor behind this photograph.

    Love comes and goes…
In many shapes or forms… And yet its essence and inner qualities are always the same ones.

Nice one, dear Jeri… Best wishes, happy week ahead. Aquileana ⭐️
