Weekly Photo Challenge: Forces of Nature

Picture of bison and grand tetons wyoming

Better late than never for this week’s photo challenge. The Grand Tetons in Wyoming rank as one of my favorite places, and I’ve spent a good amount of time exploring the area when I worked in Yellowstone National Park. Unlike many mountain ranges, there are no rolling foothills at their base, so they jut so magnificently from the relative flatness of the surrounding land.

  1. I spent a bunch of summers at Signal Mountain Lodge when I was younger–going back this summer for 25 year re-union of friends from then. This picture sure whets my appetite. Beautiful.

  2. Love this picture. The proportions of the tall mountains to the full trees and then the Buffalo have a full balance to them.

  3. This is such a gorgeous shot. Well done. The mountains jut out magnificently, tall, strong and mighty like they are commanding attention of some sort 😀 And rightfully so because they are so beautiful. This photo would look amazing on the back of a postcard 🙂
