Weekly Photo Challenge: Angular

Picture of the St. Louis Arch

In June 2011, my husband and I made a cross country move from from Idaho to North Carolina. Along the way, we stopped to see some sights. The Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Missouri was one of them. I became enamored of the arch immediately and took many angular photos that fit this week’s photo challenge. Unfortunately, we did not have time to go up in the arch because our pets were waiting in the car inside a parking garage. Someday, I’ll make it to the top. Also of note is that one of my favorite TV shows, Masters of Sex, is set in St. Louis.

  1. Wow! That is some view of the arch! I’ve seen it and many photos of it as well. Yet this is striking with the clouds in, around and through. Maybe you could sell it as a postcard!! BTW…Masters of Sex is also one of my favorite shows, too.

  2. Holy smokes…you absolutely NAILED this, Jeri!! The arch is obvious here (that’s a compliment) but I’m referring to how you got the sun jussssst out of frame yet providing the perfect lighting across it. Then the “jigsaw puzzle” clouds give it the perfect background. Love it 🙂
