Weekly Photo Challenge: Fray

Picture of sea grass.

Frayed is such a great word. Yet, for its many meanings, this week’s photo challenge has proven quite the task. What kind of photographic fray did I want to convey? The closest I could come to a fight was a picture of the police in Greece. Contenders for charged situations included swimmers in a pond or horses at a steeplechase. Even then, the pictures didn’t conjure enough fray. Pictures of old and worn buildings came close, but still no dice. I finally settled on a clump of sea grass taken in Wilmington, North Carolina. It’s safe to say this challenge has left me feeling a bit frayed!

  1. You depicted “frayed” wonderfully, Jeri! I really like the inter-tangled parts of the sea grass and it is almost as if they are trying to pull down the upright up blades who wish to remain above the pandemonium. Brilliant! 🙂
